The facts about the Intercontinental Dublin
Located in the plush district of Ballsbridge in Dublin, this luxury hotel is known as the leading five star property in the Irish capital. The decor is stunning and the service is excellent – InterContinental prides itself on meeting all needs of guests. Those visiting the city should note that this hotel is about a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the centre. However, taxis are easy to organise and you can walk to the main shopping area, Grafton Street, in about 40 minutes if you wish.
There is a stunning spa area at the Intercontinental Dublin and this includes an enormous Jacuzzi that overlooks the indoor swimming pool. A number of treatment rooms are provided to offer cutting-edge spa treatments.
There are several bar areas in the hotel and it is a popular place for local high-society to frequent. The rooms are very comfortable and also impressively spacious for a city hotel.
The Sloaney’s Editor, Laura Toogood, visited the Intercontinental Dublin and commented: “While the spa is particularly impressive and you could spend hours enjoying a restful escape here, the other areas of the hotel are well worth exploring too. The lounge and bar area adjoin and they attract a sophisticated crowd and have a great ambience. A live pianist plays during the evening and cocktails are the favoured choice.”
